Many people have begun hula hooping again for exercise. It’s a great way to exercise and have fun at the same time. Hula hooping became popular in the 50’s thanks to the introduction of the Hula Hoop by Wham-o®. In the late 90s, larger versions were popping up at clubs, concerts and events.
People began dancing with a hoop, also known as hoopdance. Dancing with a hoop exercises not only your tummy but your arms, legs and pretty much every muscle in between.
Many people say “I couldn’t possibly hula hoop. ” Or “I’ve never been able to hula hoop.” or “I haven’t been able to hula hoop since I was a kid.” It’s amazing how quickly they realize that is no longer the case. The size of the adult exercise hoops are the same ratio as the hoops were when you were a kid. It is much easier to get the hoop going….and keep it going.
